Daiameter of AEM intake?

Hey All,

I've been searching and searching and can't find the diameter size of the AEM CAI. I need to know to order the bypass valve. Thanks for your help in advance

The bypass valve will not attach like it does on most intakes so you know. There is only ONE piping section and in order to install a bypass valve you would need to cut the piping and basically rig the bypass yourself (or have a shop do it). Good luck if you go that route. Given the location of the filter your chances of water ingestion are slim anyway.

Thanks for the info. One question:

Why does AEM make a bypass valve for the intake if it does not fit well? Is the one they make built in as part of the unit?

Thanks,

Ken

Most of their intakes have 2 sections or more of piping. I guess it just wasn't convenient or practical on their Lancer application. I'd say to try calling up and asking, but after having listened to a couple conversations with them tonight I think you'd be wasting your time.
