Map Switch on the AEM

Is it possible to run a map switch as on the stock ECU on the AEM V2 for an Evo 9? I searched back, but haven't found any information on it. Thanks

The more correct answer would be. If your tuner knows how to set it up properly as it isn't a completely seperate map but a calculation based on a map.

Sort of, you can use the nitrous map on a swtich. That can adjust your fuel and timing.

And in there lies the issue as nitrous was going to be used / programmed into the ecu. Hmmm back to the drawing board.

Thank you for the replies btw.

It takes only a moment to open the laptop and pop in the calibration of your choice. :-P

Takes even less time to flip a switch.

There's more than one way to skin a cat...

1) You could either trigger the Nitrous tables via an on/off toggle switch
2) You can wire in potentiometer that activates the EGT tables. A POT could be used to adjust timing, fuel, boost, etc. AEM sells the potentiometers and they come with different bezels depending on how you intend to use it.
3) A switch can be used to turn on/off boost control. We've used it in the past to turn off the solenoid so that the car runs off wastegate spring pressure (i.e. 8psi), turn on the solenoid to activate boost control and run whatever the tune is set for.

Lol... Not a big poster and just looking at getting into EVOs. However, been around AEMs a long time and tuning EFI even longer.

your the first person in the evo world i heard mention those potentiometer. I use them alot in other ecu's. Did a few on aem cars cause they were the kind of owners who wanted to mess with stuff and wasnt letting them into the big picture.
