I got an AEM EMS & will be installing it after I get a few more things. I know you can have multiple maps & change them with your computer, but can you install a swith to change the maps without the computer. I have seen this done but I am unsure if it was with AEM EMS or some other EMS system. If it can be done then what will I need to do to set it up? What kind of switch? what pin/pins do I connect the switch to? What do I need to do as far as programing goes to alow this to work? Thanks for any help you guys can give me. I searched, but couldn't find anything on the subject directly related to the AEM EMS.

 

Yes, use switch#7, refer to manual for what pin that is, and use anything you want as a switch (i.e. I/C sprayer button, wire a separate switch, the switch on a meth kit, etc. The separate maps (fuel and ignition) will be the Nitrous maps. Switch#7 will be what activates or deactivates it.

this will only adjust ign and fuel maps alone when the switch is activated, the water, air comp. etc. will remain the same.

 

I'm not too familliar with what all is included in a tune, so would there be a need for it to chacnge other paramiters than ign & fuel maps? what I'm looking to do is to have a normal tune & a meth tune. I know I'd have to have a separate switch to turn the meth on & off.
