Intake Idea

OK I have a question, are Weapon R intakes any good? I know the filters suck but say if I put a K&N style filter on the Weapon R. Right now I'm running with the Injen CAI but I drive an auto so there for the down pipe is a tight squize so I left it off. So my intake looks like K&N typhoon kit with the filter close to the grill but all so close to the exhaust man. What was thinking about doing was getting the Weapon R CAI and put a K&N filter on it, But what I realy want to know it dose Weapon R's Cold Air Box make that much a differance form what im running now? All in all do you think I would get more gain from my Weapon R CAI with K&N filter idea or the K&N typhoon kit or just what Im running now? I need all the help and Info I cant get but plase no smart *** remarks. Thanks

Well, Injen has some good filters... But I have always been a fan of K&N. I have had a K&N Filter in every vehicle I have ever owned. So I'm kind of partial to them.. But if I were you, I'd go with the K&N Typhoon, they make good stuff, and in my opinion it is worth the money.

That's my .02.

It is not so much the filter as it is the MAS Adapter. It is important to have one that goes from bigger to smaller. This help compress the air, speed it up and make for a denser charge of air. Not sure about WeaponR but I don't think theirs is like that.

Well then, that would explain why it's a good filter.

the weapon-r cai intake kit is pretty much a buncha dryer hose. if u wanna do that just buy some dryer hose for cheaper. a few of my galant buddies hae thanked me alot for saving them oney and they felt a lil bit of gain by using the dryer hose. i got the mod from some galant buddies in japan. just make sure u put some mesh where the air goes in so leaves and suck wont' clog up the pipe

Pinoyesv6, Thank you for the information but to let you know what your refering to is the Weapon R ram air kit. Tha one I'm refering to is the Weapon R Cold Air Box intake. Here what I'm talking about http://*******************/airbox.html
