instrument guage needles!!

hey anyone that could help me! this weekend i tried something i saw on one of the posts about paint my guages to create an indiglow effect. the guy on here painted the fron but i wanted to paint the back, so i did i took the needles off and every thing and i thought i put them back on in the right place but now they're all out of whack. my tach is alright and my speedo is only about 5 mph off, but my temp and fuel guage is totally off, my temp stays at hot all the time and my fuel needle points straight left when full. any help you guys on here can give to get them back to the right spot would be great. thanks

It'll cost you a lot of money, thats all I can say, Im only off by 3 mph. Maybe you can try calling your dealer, but be prepared to cough out a lot of $$

i guess u can fill up ur tank, then point it to where it supposed to be, and after a drive, point the temp needle in the middle.

broken my ***!! mitsu just like to rip off their customer! its like the time i took my gauge apart, my needle wouldnt go up no more, no matter how hard i step on the accelerator. this happen cause the paper wasnt fully push down by those holder on the needle. you might wanna check it out again. it might be similiar issue.

the fuel gauge is easy just pull the clear plastic back off fill your car up and turn the ignition on then pull the needle back off and put it at full, same as the temp, mine usually rides exactly in the middle of the marks, just get it up to temp and reinstall the needle. as for the speedo your ****ed, have fun trying to fix that *****, the only thing i can think of is have someone pase you on the highway at 65mph and reinstall the needle

I am sure you can locate a smashed up lancer at a junk yard and just purchase the entire gauge cluster, they are really easy to take out I had to pull mine out quite a few times when swapping gauge faces in my eclipse. Next time mark where the needles sit before you pull them off, I know I know all hindsite now

I did the same thing. Pulled my needles off last week, put them back on and the fuel and temp guages read at full max. Totally broken and CANNOT be fixed. The Speedometer is way off to.

I went to the MS Recycling website and called them. I bought both an ES/LS Cluster with 4500 miles on it for $200 and an OZ cluster with 900 miles on it for $225.

I put the OZ in my car now and will put the ES/LS cluster back in my car when I sell it later this year. I have ABS on my LS model and the OZ cluster does not have an ABS indicator on it, so...

I also made a device to increase the mileage on the clusters to my original mileage so that its legal and all. Not bad. 2 clusters for $425. Almost $200 less than a new one!!!
