not worth it at that price, plus they don't even list the correct vehicle for the lancer...it's not a 2.5 L engine.

Yeah, but if you go to the AEM page, it's listed as a new item, even though the part number matches the 2.4L from the current eclipse. Andrew and myself we're talking about this last night. Perhaps we should contact AEM en masse and find out what the story is... I just want some cams, dammit.

Call em. I called em today and they juggled me around from person to person until I got someone's VM and I hung up out of anger. Help me out on this one. I'm looking to buy one ASAP and they're dicking me around. I just need to find out if the basemaps are the same for the Lancer and Eclipse. All signs point to yes, but I need to be more certain.

So did Ben (Smoktout) and I and they told us they didn't know...I have so many choice words for AEM right now. Bottom line, their customer service is ****. Absolute ****.

EDIT: Btw, it's already being sold for the 2.4l 3g Eclipse. Same part number, but still no confirmation of swappability.

Only if you have real mods like some super high lift cams or a turbocharger.

Not to mention experience or someone experienced in engine management.

Sorry you got such a bad response Andrew but they were cool with me. They mentioned the 2.4l 3g Eclipse version and that it is not swappable.

Of course this mod should be done with a turbo or massive engine mods or else you would only be using 10% of what it is capable of.

I wasn't the only one to get a bad response. In fact you're the first to get a good one.

For those of you considering the EMS take AEM's warning. The EMS with stock basemaps will allow the car to run. It is not tuned at all, it's just there to get the engine running and move around a bit. It's not pre-tuned and really running your engine could cause serious, permanent damage if you don't tune at all or properly.

I've had an EMS on my car now for a long time (2G DSM) and it is definitely an adventure. Not for the faint of heart at ALL.

But it makes a lot of power, that's for sure!

If you want to find out about release dates and stuff, why don't you go to their bulletin boards? Someone probably has already asked about it and if not, you can do so there. AEM's support for EMS users has been second to NONE so far. You just have to go to the right place.

The bulletin boards say it's released. They're part of the problem. JR says it's out, the page says it's out, the people on the phone say it's not and can't help out worth **** if you ask me. And it's been like that for weeks at least.
