3" is way too big, 2.5" is the largest you want on a non-turboed lancer. Look up the buschur system and you should fine the article.

[QUOTE=evolarts]I'm more interested in sound then looks though...I definitely don't want that lawn mower honda sound.

The magnaflow is, from what I've read, the quietest one of the bunch.

I've heard the magnaflow sounds ricier when you add a header, but at least the sounds due to performance. The buschur and greddy are meant to be very deep, but louder than the magnaflow.

Just got my buschur today....looks kind of dirty of the ends....I'm guessing that is from welding....the pipe looks like it has exhaust in it.....but the muffler is clean and nice. I'm guessing this is just from building it or something...

I'm going to borrow some jack stands from a friend and try to get my old exhaust off on Saturday (and install the new one) If you guys have any suggestions please send em my way because everyone makes it seem so easy but I'm not totally sure about it

I say go with the RMR axle-back and throw a Buscher high-flow cat and do some custom piping in between. You will see much better power increase as well as a nice throaty grumble... Thats the set up I have as of now minus the hf cat, and it is incredible!

Already received the Buschur...I don't know **** about cars so doing what you were saying is near impossible for me, unless I suddenly get a load of cash to pay someone else to do it all.

There is the link to my magnaflow catback with rrm testpipe I recorded. Good sound clips if you need to decide. Look at the thread next week for the updated sounds after I install the RRM header.

Can someone explain how the muffler connects to the mid-pipe? the muffler just has hangers on it.....do I just slide the pipe into the muffler and let it sit like that?!

Can't someone just slip it off and jack it?

Yea that is what I thought but when I asked about welding it (previously in this post) I was told there was no need for it...

I wonder how much it would cost to get it welded...

its gonna be hard for some one to steel an exhaust cuz they wont know what tools they'll need unless they bring a tool box and an air gun. its pretty hard to remove the exhaust by hand.
