Help deciding on a catback?

I just got $600 for my return and want to spend it on exhaust and tint.....tint is about $120 cheapest around here....unless I got to some **** hole. So that leaves me about $480 to get a exhaust + shipping + install somewhere around here.

I would like a deep sounding exhaust with little to no whiney honda noise. Please give me some feedback on these 3 systems:

1.) Magnaflow from RRM

2.) RMR High Performance

3.) I was going to say the Logic Performance system but then I noticed that is for the Evo....if you guys have any other suggestions that will fit in my budget please tell me.

Also how much would it generally cost to get a shop to put on the catback and weld it?

i love my greddy catback. it was my very first mod, and it sounded very nice even pre-turbo. it looks good, and now the v2 is all stainless, i bought mine a long time ago so its only partly SS. I would recomend it highly, it has a nice sound to it and isn't very loud at all. i get many compliments.

Could get the buschur system as well, its cheap and a lot of people stand behind it.

Thanks for the quick responses! Does the greddy have a nice deep rumble to it? How does it sound at idle?

I see the GReddy "Evolution" Series Catback V2 at RRM but it's $500....how much do you guys think that would cost to get installed?

Just install it yourself, its like 4 or 6 bolts, not hard at all.

Shouldn't I weld it? Also is there enough room to get under the car and install it? I do not have anything other then my car's jack to get it up off the ground....some of those wheel ramp thingies would be good..but I don't have any or know anyone who does.

Plus $500 is a little more then I want to spend on just exhaust....maybe I will wait till after next check and just go for the greddy.

The systems mentioned are direct bolt ons, you just take your old one off and bolt the new one on, its nice and easy. The buschur system is like 310$ for 2.5 mandrel bent catback system with a magnaflow muffler.

I meant weld it so someone can't easily steal it....I had a friend get his exhaust jacked and that is why I want to get it welded on....I will install it myself and then either find someone who can weld it for cheap or use liquid weld to keep it in place.

I guess I will have to decide between the greddy and the buschur....what about the rmr I hear that was good?

I don't think the RMR is a catback, I think its just an axleback, you don't reallly need to get it welded, seems like thats just one of those rare things that happen to like 1 out of a 1000 people.

I just checked again and it looks like your right....definitely not enough piping for a cat back.....plus they don't advertise it as a cat back.....wonder how I came up with that

It all depends on what you want, the buschur has been dynoed and has shown good gains and it has no resonator, so it is as close to a straight pipe system as you can get. The magnaflow is very well made and is a great system, exactly what you'd expect from magnaflow.

From what I've read, I would go with the magnaflow, but that is my opinion. Only because I know the greddy system is a little louder and has a little history of melting bumpers (plus less $$$). Hope that helps.

How big of a difference will 2.5 and 3" piping making? Does anyone know what the gains on the buschur system are since it has been dyno'd?

Both systems seem pretty good...I personally think that the tip of the magnaflow looks a lot better then the tip of the buschur. I'm more interested in sound then looks though...I definitely don't want that lawn mower honda sound.

BensLancer: Are you sure about that deal? I was looking at their site and they list it as $443....that would be a hell of a deal at only $330 just for being a evolutionm member!
