Aftermarket Oil Pump

I currently own a 2003 Lancer es, I was just wondering if anyone makes an upgraded oil pump or if there is any possible swaps that can be done?

wow, haven't heard of one, what are you running that the stocker won't supply enough pressure?

Soon to running a turbo setup, and also looking to rebuild the bottom end of my engine.

well, if it's any help, no one has needed any more pressure for their turbo setup, the stock pump has done just fine, might just spend the money elswhere.

rebuilding bottom end -- you going to be doing the pauter rods?

Not to sure, thinking about it, as far as the pistons go I will not be getting the ones from road race, the dish is not deep enough on them, as well I would like to run a lower compression ratio

Check out Wiseco... they have Lancer pistons that seem to be great. I know a bunch of people running them and they all have good things to say about them

Wiseco makes the pistons with a slightly higher compression ratio though. it would be cool for all the turbo guys if we could find someone who made a lower compression one

why? 10:1 isn't bad for boost 5-9psi. look at the celica guys. besides, i doubt most of us will be boosting at dsm levels. 10:1 is good for use. better gas mileage, better torque, and more hp per psi of boost. it's just we're limited to "lower" boost due to stock or piggyback engine management. seeing that most turbo guys aren't looking to boost much in the first place, i don't see why you're all waiting for lower comp pistons.

I disagree. Wiseco has Lancer pistons in both 9:1 and 8.5:1 compression. I dont know if they still make the 8.5:1 (to me, that is too low of a compression and you start sacrificing torque for power) but I know for a fact that they have the Lancer pistons in 9:1 compression.

10:1 isnt bad for that level of boost, but if you are going forged, why limit yourself? 10, 15 shoot 20 psi is obtainable forged (assuming you have both rods and pistons).... And lol, turbo guys already sacrificed gas mileage to attain those numbers. I still feel that you can reach decent levels of boost on piggybacks (under 300 whp) but again, all my premises are based on the 4G93. BUt you are right tho.... all depends on the guy and like yo usaid, most turbo guys are not looking for tremendous power. 5 - 9 psi and they are happy, unless it is Omarboy, or the guy I am trying to convert to big boost, pgmike (or myself for that matter).
