Cool NA Update: 16.209 @ 86.19

Well, since I installed my ///RRM piggyback last week the car has been running like crap. Ive been doing runs right and left, and I could not seem to get ANYTHING lower than a 17.145 ....

So today I decided to call RoadRace and figure out what the hell happened since I ran a 16.5-- right after I installed the piggy and now its even slower than before install...
When I called Viciouz picked up the phone and was a huge help! I told him what the issue was and he was as confused as I was...at first. The he asked the magic question "what temperature is it out?"; I told him about 45 deg. He then asked "what temp was it out when I installed the piggy and when it went through its learning stage"; I said about 15-20 deg.....Well that was when he told me immediately that that was why it was running like crap and bogging down.

He explained: "Since the piggy learned at such a low temp, and now it is much warmer out, the ECU along with the piggy can not handle the drastic temp change. Unplug the battery, and redo the learning period and it should be fine. Call me back and lemme know how it goes."

I did as he said and the changes are AMAZING!!!!!!!! No more bogging, and the damn thing kicks like a mother after 3500 rpm's So I called him back and told him my newest numbers I got on my G-Tech Pro RR. He said they were VERY accurate, if they were off it was very little and it wouldn't make a difference. He asked me to make a thread so others can see the increases in power with the piggy when used in its optimum conditions .Thanks again Viciouz

Well here's what she ran:
Mods installed- check sig, plus a sub/amp in the trunk
Temp- 45 deg
Road Conditions
- Dry, Freshly Paved with no slope (visibly), and pretty sticky from being paved less than 48 hours ago
Times-
16.209 @ 86.19

Yeah G-Tech Pro RR, which is the most accurate 1/4 time device on the market (www.gtechpro.com). Im running New Kuhmo Ecsta Supra 712's w/245 width.

Here's a link to a chart showing the accuracy of it: http://gtechpro.com/accuracy.html

245 width? Don't those rub? Pretty good time though with just intake, header and piggyback.

You don't have many mods yet you are running a great 1/4 time...what do you attribute your greatest gains to? What mods did you have on when you ran 16.9 then 16.5?

Yeah, N/A is a good way to go, and it will not jeopordize your engine as much as boost might. The Lancer is still a brick, and will be till its running mid-15's, but I CAN feel the power increase 10 fold. 2 thumbs way up to RoadRace!!!

You should get a short shifter and bushings next, it makes driving all that much better. I'd recommend the lancershop shifter and the kartboy bushings, thats what I got and its great, and decently priced.

Yeah, and it might increase your reaction time... it does help. Also it might sound gay but get a grounding kit. I got mine from
Ground Fusion and it has really helped smooth out the acceleration. Look into it man, for real.

Nice numbers... but I hope the mods won't get annoyed by creating new threads on every updates.... why don't start a thread "Sir Lancelot's N/A Project"

I am glad the piggy worked for you. That's a great time if you can duplicate in on the track. I hate to keep reiterating that but they are two totally different surfaces.

You've beat my best time though and the only difference really was the GSX fuel pump upgrade. I might have to look into that soon.
