Hey all you guys i was wondering if you have ever heard of this intake or if anybody has ever used one. If so maybe post some pics of it and let me know how it has worked out for you. the reason why i am asking this is because i don't have much money but still want to do some things to my car and this intak is only like 72 bucks. The websit is

http://www.horsepowerfreaks.com/view..._Systems~.html

Just scroll down the page until you see the HP racing cold air intake and see what you think. there is also a website for the company.

http://www.hpracing.com/

then here is there picture of it.

http://www.hpracing.com/parts_detail...o=50-A20&id=35&

anyway it would seem like just the piping would be worth getting it for and then get a K&N filter for it lare. Especially for a cold air intake. well let me know.

You can try it if yoy want, but personally I would stick with something we all know works, like AEM, Injun etc.

It seems alright, I mean ppl are puttin the ebay short rams w/o ne problems. As long as it has an adapter plate for the air sensor it'll be alright

Well one thing i noted when i researched it was that Import magazine was talking about the company and saying that they were basicly up and coming and that they used one of thier exhust headers on a honda 1.6 litre SOHC and just with that they gained 8 horses. And when i looked at the pic it did look like it had an adapter for the air sensor. So yeah if i could throw out 280 for and intake then i would but i am having a kid soon and well you know.

It is a simple mod that includes a pipe and a big filter. Sort of like a dick, need a manual???

OH really so if i got a pipe from the hard ware store hacked it up and made an intake like that it would work just as good as an AEM intake or an injen. Though i do agree it is pipe. i was just really wanting to know if anyone has had experience with that brand.

If the pipe would stand the heat yeah it would work, almost the same way.
Personally dark force intake is good and AEM.
Make sure the pipe (intake tube) is thick so it will not transfer any heat.
Sorry for being harsh ....... south park.

they look pretty similar to the ones being sold on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

I brought one of these and it works great, looks ok, not as nice as some expensive ones, but i would go up against someone with the same mods as me and a name brand cai anyday.

previously, i had a K&N ram pod in the engine bay, and the difference between the two is amazing, dont know about hp gains, but feels like i got alot of low end torque back with the cold air.

i would say, if it is cheap enough, and advertised as being for your car, it is worth a punt.

well, at least rest easy knowing it will fit and work well..
maybe the difference will be that you get some service, instructions and such.

with my ebay one, even though it wasn't hard, i had to figure out how to install it myself.

plus, if everything is not supplied, or does not fit, work as advertised, at least you have someone to chase up for support, you are on your own most of the time with ebay purchases.
