I am looking for more responce between 3000 to 4500 rpm. What would be my best bang for the buck. I currenty have a CAI and am looking to get the Greddy cat back. Will the cat back help alot?

the cat back will help well with the header, but header u will loose some low end power. but get a piggyback from rrm, ur best bang for da buck on our cars. u will have improvements through out the power band

Kurchy if your looking for the best bang for your buck do this in order:

1) Exhaust (catback) NO TEST PIPE!
2) Header
3) Piggyback

A downpipe and test pipe will rob you of the backpressure you need on the low-end and the exhaust, header, and piggy will be perfect for what you are looking for. Once you have he piggy on, and you hit 3500 rpm's its gonna feel like you got hit from behind and kept going.

I think for what you are after a throttle body upgrade will improve mid range throttle response and acceleration.

Follow up then with a set of long tube 4-1 headers for more power in teh 3000 rpm range. Exhaust, intake and throttle body with some nice tuning always improves power across the range wihtout large expense.

So far I have:

Intake
Header
downpipe
Cat-back

Nice mid-to-high range RPM but low end kinda sucks. So what I'm going to be doing next will be a bored throttle body then intake manifold down the road.

Ok, so far sounds like exhust, header and piggyback. I'm think I've decied on the Greddy cat back however which header and piggyback should I go with? Also what about the fuel rail, good bad? Thanks for input

If you want better mid range, get a header, but don't get a catback exhaust. Generally speaking, exhaust mods are for more top end, but with the restrictions of the stock exhaust the header adds to the mid quite nicely. I currently have the RRM header and am very pleased with it. A piggyback, intake manifold, and throttle body sound like good mods as well and should give a little more lower end kick. The fuel rail basically keeps the throttle response constant from lower RRMs to higher RRMs as it provides a constant supply of fuel to the injectors.

My piggy back actually made my car 2 tenths slower in the 1/8th, how come everyone praises them so much?

If you are going to look at headers and are stayign N/A then our RPW 4-1 long tube design headers are definitly the superior units on the market ot provide more low rpm torque, midrange and of course top end.

Shorter units will provide the same top end to a degree but no where near the same lower rpm as the shorter runners do not promote torque.

Flex pipe / down pipe helps a lot with top end as with our systems the larger and better flowing down pipe improves breathing.

Complete new exhaust systems are not really absoloutly necessary replacing rear muffler only with a new straight through muffler will not lose out on low rpm torque but does improve top end and mid range nicely. Something else to consider as an alternative to a whole complete system for those wanting something more than standard but without the huge expense or loss of low rpm torque.
