I have a RRM SRI with the carbon fiber heat shield and K&N cone filter. I just noticed that when i shut off my car, i hear a weird sucking sound comming from the intake after the engine is shut off...like right after....... Is that normal?

me thinks so, but i jsut had to make sure.

 

This has been discussed a lot too in the past but yeah its normal as far as I know. I had the same problem and it scared me for a sec but its ok. All of the crap that you take out(air box, ram, etc...) is what prevented you from hearing it in the first place. I dont know if its as loud with the CAI as the SRI. Happy modding!

Yeah mine does the same exact thing, sorta sounds like the car is blowing air out.

 

It's a normal import sound. It's hard to notice it w/ domestics (crap if not v8)

 

Mine makes the noise too.. scared me too at first. Now I'm used to it.
