wadad... pm me your current mods and we'll talk. Also if i could see a current dyno i could help you as well.

Personnally i think you're just a few simple mods away from greatness and we could probably get them done before you go to work. Hit me up, we'll get you going strong.

Good runs, but like you said, I did expect more.... no worries tho. Hopefully, one of these days we can hit the track at the same time. Even tho the only time I was over there, the second lane (the right lane) was junk. People's 60s were horrible and generally they were running better in the left lane. Nonetheless man, work those bugs out. You know how I use you as a baseline for mirageproject .....

Anyways, PM me or email me at quez@tampabay.rr.com so we can keep in touch, even when you go hopping around the world. I will still volunteer to be your caddy

Which mirager were you referring to btw?

I called the place to set up the dyno today thursday and they will be calling me back shortly.

I'll take a quick poll on 3rd gear or 4th gear pulls. I already have a dyno of 3rd gear.

Boe I'll pm you my mods.

Airquez I was talking about DUDEinamirage. Bahamut got me his email and I asked him a few questions. He ran the same time but his slip was adjusted for sea level and it came out to a 15.95 or something.

Let me know guys...3rd gear or 4th. I should be leaving within the hour.

if you get multiple runs do 2 in third to compare to your old run... then do one in 4th so we can get an idea of your actual numbers

Usually they'll give you a few pulls. Do a run or two of each!

I was actually expecting more as well since I did 16.702 (sri + header-back) on a crappy track and crappy rubbers
Make sure you keep us posted if you find anything wrong.

The mechanic never called me back today.

Worst case scenario I'll do it in early May. Going out of town pretty much until then.

I'll ask them to do atleast one run in 3rd and then the other 2 in 4th if I can get it.

wadad, before you do the run on the track, buy a bag of ice from 7-11 and put it on your intake manifold for a few minutes. I saw it on speedvision when they do multiple runs in a row. It helps cool down your IM and gets your times more consistent and shaves a couple tenths off your time.

you could also do a coolant bypass. in terms of temps, the IM is still hot but not to the point where you'd have to take your hand off it.

can any of you engineers rig up a water pump that would recirculate cold water through the throttlebody from an external reservoir? just dump ice water before a run or something. it's just an idea and i'm no engineer.

Cool ideas.

For comparison purposes I just do what always is done. You pop the hood and let the engine cool down. There were at least 30-45 minutes between each run and most of the heat in the engine bay was gone or undetectable. I never touch the pipes though to see if they are still HOT

im sure you could steal some of the parts from say evos intercooler sprayer? or maybe change up rippmods methenol injection set up and just have it circulate ice water. of course your resivor would need some type of plug at the bottom.

From the one night I was over there and cracked my front bumper (stupid speedway) there was plenty of time between runs to cool down, even for turbo cars, and even without popping the hood.

When you get back, we definitely have to have a track day or something. I will steal my sister's video camera and get some shots of you running.

Sweet!!!!

I have some old footage but someone with a new camera might be able to
Host one of my runs.

We'll definitely link up.

BTW Mitsiman said that I'd probably be better off resetting the ECU which I am going to do today.
