Anyone have any bumper melting issues with their Greddy yet? I put mine in today and decided to leave it be, even though the RMR guy says you have to trim the bumper. I am waiting to see where it starts to melt before I cut, or I will go off of someone elses info if they have any.

So if I went with coustem piping would I still need to get the test pipe or could the cat just simply be replaced with the straight 2.25 pipe?

They won't do it. That's why we have to buy and install oursleves. It's illegal so shops, in fear of a large fine, won't do that customization.

At first it is kind of a growl. The more miles you drive it the deeper it gets. The temperature of the car seems to make a difference too. MN is cold as hell and it gets louder as the car warms up. Low in the gears (2000-3000rpm) it is deeper too.

You might want to photoshop out your license plate number. Just for safety issues.

Just because Im curious, why would it matter if my license plate was showing or not? It is already public information. I noticed a lot of people black it out, but I am lazy.

I guess I am just paranoid about people knowing my plate number and trying to find out where I live.

Any ways, I just looked under a Lancer in the showroom (too cold to look under my own car) and I noticed the exhaust system has all kinds of crap in the way until you get to the muffler. After it comes down from the first cat (like under the oil pan) there is some mech looking thing, then a little further back there is something that looks like it may be another cat, and the even furthur back there is something that looks like it's a smaller muffler. Is that the resonator? Does the Greddy kit replace the resonator, incorporate it, have one of its own?

the greddy comes in 2 parts. The axel-back part and then the pipe that goes from the axel back to the back of the second cat, that pipe has a resonator on it. That is all it replaces.

Thanks for the information.

For those of you who are interested, on GroupBuyCenter there is a group buy for the Greddy EVO exhaust. I was quoted for $465 with free shipping. What does everything think of that?
