Well I was alittle disapointed with the cam. After being tuned I lost TQ and only gained peak HP. I actually lost power through out the power band. All it did was increase my horse power above 5K RPM. Now my peak numbers as 124HP and 118TQ.
Pretty disapointing numbers if you ask me. Idle is alittle rough, not to bad though.
I'll post my actual dyno sheet when I get home.
What I don't get is why am I losing so much power from start to 5k. You'll see what I'm talking about when I post the dyno.

what are your pre-cam afc numbers? (as in +- adjustments and at what intervals?)
Just wanna check agains what I'm running. My cam increased power after 3.7k. May have a few ideas for ya. Wanna compare AFC first though

ooh, wanna see the new dyno sheet. was peak torque made later than stock? i figure this is how they make more peak hp. i don't think an NA cam will go well with a supercharger.

what did you do to the timing? Advancing at intervals across the RPM band has been yielding some pretty impressive results with my stage 2.

and put the cat converter back in if you want more torque. straight through isn't helping you any.

It's nothing impressive man, like I said I"m alitle disapointed. I lost usuable power from start to 5k. Then I have a slight gain over the stock cam. You'll see what i'm talking about after I post the dyno sheet. The sheet has my best pre run and the best run with the cam on it. They are overlaid and you can see the power loss. I don't get why it happened.

Timing should be set to stock and I'm going to put my original cat back on when I put the header on. Probably this weekend.

Omar,
Did you buy the timing sprocket from RPW also?

Can you retard/advance with the stock cam sprocket anyway? I don't know anything about timing stuff.

I wanted to get my cam tuned this week. I might have to hold off on that because this doesn't sound good at all.

Let's see that dyno sheet.
Did you get an A/F read out at all? what are you tuned to?

omarboy is boosted, so retarding is what he needs to do to keep from detonating. Us NA guys need advancement, generally. It's pretty easy. in a nutshell: take off the cam gear as described in the service manual, turn the crank clockwise so it's a few degrees advanced (that is, rotate it a little less than a full turn- use the gauge on the crank to figure out how far you've gone. Stock spec is 5 BTDC +- 3, so I'd go 3 advanced to start with, you'd still be in spec. Then put everything back Getting the cam gear back on with the belt attached is the tricky part. Maybe you'll want to have that shop you're working with help you...?

That's just how I do it. You guys can figure out the geometry, and pay for the gauges that they show on the RPW site to determine how much you need/want to advance with the cam gear

edited since I found the answer above to my question...

What did you have the car tuned to previously in the higher rpms? A/F ratio?
I can't quite make it out on the last page dyno sheet.

After cam install

Ok here's the dyno sheet after that cam install.
the blue is the pre cam run and the green is the after cam install run.

I will have to call them ask about advancing my timing alittle bit to see if that helps out at all.
I'm not sure what my tune numbers where before the cam install. I never really payed attention to them.
