I don't know because I only have the eM. I'm assuming it's an across the board problem, but no one else has done any testing with a wideband. The only person I'vetalked to who has used a wideband said that "at startup with the eManage maps it ran fine and stayed at the AFR we dialed in". He said he hasn't done any longer term testing. So basically, he tested during the ECU re-learn period, bit hasn't since.

I've been resetting the ECU so much lately, though, that the maps have been working (battery resets and when that fuse blows it kills power to the ECU, too) so I'll have to wait for the ECU to settle in before I can say anything new.

I think the RRM/split second units' pressure sensor allows it to adjust around the ECU re-learn.... but there's precious little info about those boxes (at least from my brief research).

well, would picking up a split sec unit be an option? i think they can be had for 200, tuning software is $50, and you need a laptop

i'm sure between their units (i know they have a TON) something should work out for ya

i know you have the emanage and want to try to get that working, just a thought though

are you sure you're tuning your closed loop maps to have 0% long term fuel trim at around 65*F weather first? it's pretty important.

oh, and did you get that throttle position problem done yet or is that still an issue?

i'm pretty sure if the ecu relearned itself, my larger MAS and fuel system would have gone to **** a long time ago.

GP: I'm not willing to invest any more money into electronic toys. I'll make what I have work. Plus, I understand a cuple RalliArt guys have tried to buy the units and mapping program direct and SplitSecond was stonewalling them about it. Hmmm....

Rhyzin: I appreciate your concern about my fuel trims. When the unit is working, they're around 2-3% STFT and averaging 0 LTFT. But I still don't understand how the eManage would be able to work just using the knobs if adjusting for low throttle fuel trims is absolutely necessary. The TPS problem was just some bad acid that the eM ate. I started a new map and all is well.

Another issue is that right now I've got about a thousand things going on and taking several hours on a random weeknight to duck the cops so I can do some WOT 3rd and 4th gear runs isn't in the cards. I'm open to suggestions I have 6 weeks before my next points event so I'm not in a huge rush. Once a few issues clear then I'll make the time to work on the tuning.

I'm off to install the new MAS.

FI or NA really has nothing to do with it. It's the stock ECU.

are people using it? yes.

do we know for a fact that they're getting the AFR they were shooting for when they started tuning? No.

Why not? See above (no one is actually using a WBO2 to test).

well we know a few ppl are running it on their turbo... so the the ecu i guess cant re-learn around the injector map or they would have blown their motors.

it seems to be an n/a problem. Hopefully when i get some more money in... ill be able to get a wideband and finally get my emanage in and see if i get the same results as you eboy.

ah yes. If you're using the injector map to add fuel, apparently that does work, and that's why Dave at RPW thought (thinks?!) I'm crazy. I'm trying to remove fuel with the AFR map.

Crazy, too, considering all the intake mods I have, you'd think it would be a different problem.

I've been considering that, too. My issue is whether my hardware will take the new firmware update to "gold" Worth a shot, I s'pose I'm busily getting ready to teach a class all day Saturday. I'll hopefully be able to look at the eM again next week.

just thought you might be able to get a different map to do the same thing that the ecu cant tune around
