Question service engine soon light

Hey Guys

My car is at 12866 miles and my service engine soon light came on. I checked the oil level and tightend the gas cap but it is still on. I just recently put on a magnaflow cat back and a cold air intake but that is it any ideas?

disconnect the battery for a while, reconnect and see if it goes away. if not, autozone or some other car part shops will check your codes for free. bring the code back and we'll go from there.

The light won't go off immediately even if it's the fuel cap. Definitely reset the ECU and/or get the code pulled.

That's why. Loosen it. Your throttle body should NOT be open even the tiniest bit at idle. All idle air is done through a valve that bypasses the TB, so having it open even a hair throws off the Idle Air Controller Put at least a little slack back into the wire.

**** happens, man. I did it on my car after my rebuild too. It's very easy to accidentally make it a little too tight.
