Ah yes... New Lancer Owner...
30 shot is lethal if used more than..... let's see... I think 5 has been the limit on a 30 shot IIRC. You can build the engine, though. I'd run a search if you're serious about NOS. I think a guy recently build up the bottom end and was trying for a 50 shot.

Wow these engines must have hypereutectic everything in them.... 30 shot is lethal... And we are talking an upgraded fuel system to accomodate the added o2 and we are talking a wet kit, like what NX has to offer on a WOT switch right?
IIRC our i think its ring landings are very thin... and after a couple of shots ppl tend to break them... its not so much the engine as it is the pansy pistons we have in there... but since you built your own stang, you could probably pick up a service manual and do a tear down and rebuild with a nice set of forged pistons... but as far as this board goes, you would be the leader of the pack with n2o on forged... everyone that i have every read about on here that used n2o was on the stock pistons and the blew their engines... infact one guy blew 2
edit: forgot about suspension for autox... everyone has pretty much pointed out all the parts made for our car... and my car has most of them installed on it... and i can tell you she handles great.
Hope this helps... o and a lil advice so you dont get flamed if you have an questions regarding certain parts run a search most have been discussed to death.

Well thats why I got on this board... and you guys might of just given me a quest now... yeah domestic internal work no problem, I might have to give a shout to a couple machine shops in town and see what we can do about some pistons and a nitrous cam.... hm i'll think this over... turbo would be fun but kinda take the streetability out of the car (cause its going to be driven in snow) and plus its a lot of money for little return...
As far as bolt on mods... outside of suspension whos been happy with what mods without effecting streetability, what short rams are better then others, cam gears that are better then others, can ya flash the ECU to drag some hidden fuel map out of it... i'm not much on computer tuning so tell me when i say something stupid LOL

Omahaoz, I gotta disagree with you on the turbo statement you made... I paid 2600 for a used t-28 intercooled kit. Im making twice the amount of power than stock! I drive my car daily and when I keep it below boost my gas milege is fine.. If your worried about driving in the snow, you shouldnt be. Get some heave duty snow tires and dont boost.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&highlight=nos <-- single use 50 shot blew the stock motor
And Tyler, I guess it's too late with ported everyting and cams
so far I've spent
$500 for the cam
$70 for the G93 IM
$125 to get the TB bored
$60 for the SRI (well, for the fliter)
$225 for the header
$30 for the DP
$300 for the eMaange
$100 for the harnesses for above
$150 for the support tool
Laptop for above was free
$300 for the Wideband
Headwork, porting, fabrication, install was all free
That's still less than $2K
But for the average Joe, yeah, $2k isn't going to go very far. Keep an eye out for timeslips.

i wouldnt say very lil return... there are a few 300whp lancers running around... im sure thats not a lot compared to what you are normally lookin at in domestics... but thats 3x as much stock whp
Alchemist i think you should take the short ram question here as you are on your way with your lil experiment
as far as the other products you mentioned there really isnt much to compare as you have gotten into a car with a very limited aftermarket and there are only usually 1 or 2 types of the same part running around, ie header, intake, cam gear, etc

Yeah i'm still learning the advanced search cause I found a ton of old posts from years ago and i know things have changed since then LOL
well, new guy knows what he's doing, so I don't think it's unfair
besides, I did say that it's not an accurate list for the average joe. FWIW Id never worked on a car before this one, so it's not undoable for guys with common sense and a manual

I can build motors but I'm not going to go change a torque converter solenoid out in a Dodge Neon... I'll let somebody else FUBAR that one...
Yeah plus I have the available knowledge and shop in the area through friends if i wanted to go nuts... but i still want the daily driver thing, and gutting the motor falls outta the daily driver thing LOL
