Apexi super AFC

Currently I'm in the market for a plug in play system for my lancer. Not looking into the ecu piggyback for dealership and warranty issues. So far i know there is a separate harness for the apexi afc II system but does any know if anyone makes a plug in play harness of the lancers or is the lancer evo harness is the same.

They don't offer "plug and play" harness for the base Lancers, but I don't know if the Evo harness is the same though. PM Rhyzin, he might know.

if you're a 5spd MT, the evo harness will work. the 4spd AUTO has a different ecu pinout and won't work with the evo patch harnesses.

booomslang.us has a harness with the safc harness built into it (they also have one for the emanage) making the safc plug and play for $139. for regular patch harnesses, you could check out machv.com or gruppe-s.com for the "field's harness".

yeah, that's a normal patch harness.

here's one with a safc harness already attached:

yep, this is for manuals only. the boomslang seems the better deal unless you've found a used one. you would just have to remove the patch harness and you're back to stock.

there isn't one for the autos since they have a different ecu harness.

So pretty much if you have an automatic, you would need to start splicing wire's

You're the man!!! I'vw been thinking that if I get the safc, I'll have to let a shop install for me and will cost me $$$. Btw how come you didn't use the "plug and play" harness when you installed yours?

Oh yeah sorry, didn't noticed it was 2 years ago. Well I can buy the SAFC easier now, because I was worried about the installation before. Btw, what's the diff. between patch harndess and field harness
