I know you don't want to hear this but...Search. Someone just did that into a 2004 es. cost for the engine, install, transmission work (to handle the power, and not AWD), and everything all said and done, about 10000 USD. but it was in canada so it was about 12000 CAD. I'll get that thread for you

Oh it was tempting cause I've gotten that a lot when I was new. But l just got really flamed in another thread for about 2 days straight and wasnt in the "flaming" mood. lol

lol yeah now you cant just drop anything into the bay. but i don't think anyone has done it cause its not worth it, it might cost about the same as the evo engine if it doesnt fit directly, but you wouldnt gain half as much.

well i dont think anyone has completed the 4g69 swap, and i think it would take a lot of capital.
in my opinion a turbo would be more worth it. people peicing together old evo8 kits have completed a turbo setup for a reasonable price. (please dont turn this into a "is it worth it?" thread)

yeah that V8 into focus was pretty sweet. Hey oztoevowannabe, check out http://www.rpw.com.au/ and check out their engine swaps for the lancer, they tell you which ones are best for your car and how they fit.
