I saw that exhaust too but i wouldn't get it because i've had nothing but bad experiences from ebay. Hmmm... $200 for a catback versus getting an ebay muffler for like $10 +piping for like $200...guess its a little cheaper then after all! Oh but don't forget about shipping...

BUT.... what about.

$300 bucks total for it isnt bad, and really.. it looks like its made well. People are just "hatein" b/c its on ebay. Someone should grab it & test it out. Normally the garbage items on ebay are universal items, with no brand name or web site.

Thats tru i guess i am kinda iffy about ebay but if i hadn't had any bad experiences with it in the past, i would grab that cat back and a HKS muffler and get to work on it.

The $100 price tag for shipping is a bunch of crap. I just bought a full turbo-back exhaust made by Vibrant and it cost $60 to ship it.

I'd be very weary about buying exhaust components on ebay. Just look around your neighborhood at all the other cars with their ebay mufflers and think to yourself "Do I want my car to sound like that?". Spend the extra $$ on a quality system, but not the extra $$$$ on RRM (psst, local shops can make you a good system for about the same price, and if something goes wrong you can take it back and have them fix bad welds, broken hangers, etc).

In my opinion, yes.

Realistically, no. To be realistic, buying name-brand parts is probably just paying for the name-brand.

If company X is $100 and company Y is $200, you'd probably be safe going with X. For example, OBX copies bigger name companies when they make their parts. So an OBX exhaust should be just as good as a GReddy (or whoever) but for cheaper, because you're not paying for the GReddy name.

All that being said, everything I have is name-brand, for the most part. But I'm a ricer.

ordered greddy catback 8)

is this going to cause my NA lancer to loose backpressure? what can I do to avoid that, can it cause me to run lean? any potential problems from just slapping on the catback and leaving my car alone for a few months to save for more mods?

You'll lose backpressure, yes. There's nothing you can do about it. Just enjoy the better top-end power.

CAI is always good.

Piggyback will do good for ya (and you can unplug it for emissions).

Suspension mods are always fun. Just depends on what you like/want out of your car.

I just want to have a little more fun driving, I want the car to feel a little faster, maybe handle better, I don't care about looks, other than my rims I'll keep the outside stock.

I have an auto, so no CAI, but I do have an injen SRI with an air duct I built, other than my SRI and cat back, all I have is strut bars

my big issue is not wanting to cheap out and damage my car, like I don't want springs, if I drop it it will be coil overs. I was going to order the RRM piggyback but everyone around here says it will cause you to run lean
