Big problem with MAS

I had unplugged the wiring harness from the MAS. You know the one with like seven different wires , that plugs into the left side of the MAS. When i went to plug it back up, i was at a weird angle and bent on of the prongs on the port that it plugs into. IN trying to unbend the prong it broke off. I did not panic i had some heavy duty electircal wire, about the density of a paper clip, which i bent and inserted into the wiring harness, which when it is plugged into the port, allows for somewhat of a more accurate reading. I have been running like this for about a week now, the power is still there, maybe a little more in the upper RPMs, have not tested MPG. I know that even though the car acts the same, that this rigging not be good for the car.

My question what is the appropriate name for this port, and can you purchase speratly. I ask this b/c there are two screws, one on each side of the port. Which means that the port can be removed. could someone give me some background on this "port". If it can be replaced i will comb the local junk yards for a lancer with on intact. thanks for any help you can give.

yup. you're going to have to replace the damn thing. if you can find a lancer one, that'd be great. if not, get one off a 3G eclipse, galant, montero sport, or their dodge equivalents. you're gonna have to pry the restrictor plate off the broken one and switch them with the one from the models just mentioned and you should be just fine.
