Anybody in the boston area???

Is there anybody around the boston area that can help me test if my MAS is bad?? Just need to borrow one plug it in see if it works. I live in Middleboro (taunton area)

My car has been sitting outside the last few days un covered and in the rain. I havent driven it for about a week. I have a removed hood vent I think that cause some water from the past rain storm to get into the harness for the MAS I started the car the idle was jumping and my wideband was going from lean to rich all the way back and forth. I reved it one time and after about 10 minutes or so of letting it idle and warm up and the idle went normal after the rev. When I went to drive off the car bogg like the MAS was unplugged or something and had a big cloud of white smoke. So I stop and idle goes normal I unplugg the MAS at this point and alittle water dripped out of the plug and there was no change at all in the idle at all with it unplugged. So then I tried to unplug my SAFCII and see what would happen. When I started the car up with the SAFCII unplugged and the MAS plugged back in the car idles normal but the wideband reads 10.0 all the way rich so then I unplug the MAS again and no change....so it got me thinking maybe I killed it.

Of course at this time it is dark and I cant see anything anymore.

If the MAF was dead, or unplugged, you should throw an SES light...is that the case? Have you pulled the code?

Im outside of Boston but I may be able to put something together for you...maybe you should check your coilpacks (maybe you're not getting spark)...either way, lemme know if you have a SES light and if you pulled the code

SES is on (Havent pulled the code it was 8pmish at this point).. came on when I started driving away... the car acts like the MAF is unplugged as soon as you hit the gas Other than on a rev it bogs out. and when I drove it bogged out and billowed white smoke. almost like headgasket style but smelled super rich

Switched my car to speed density. I have a MAF sensor you could use to try to find out your problem. I'd just have to find it, but I know its around here somewhere. I'm south of Worcester. Let me know if your interested.
