Question Importing RPW engines

I've used Google search for this one and i still haven't really found an answer. I know Dave at RPW has 6A12 kits and race prepped 4G94's for sale at RPW. Trouble is - Vision imports doesn't do whole engines and i haven't found any luck seeing if anyone imports from Australia. Has anyone tried researching this ??

If i ever had the money, i would definately want to put a race prepped 94 into my car. Anyone ever look into this

RPW will likely ship it straight too you. shipping an engine across the US is like a minimum of $500. tell RPW to UPS the damn thing. they are international along with FedEx. it doesn't have to go to a shop first. eliminate the middle man and get it at your door. if you want a shop to get it first call the one up in NJ. i forget the name of it but they are an authorized RPW dealer. they are on the RPW dealer locator list as well.

Also, there is a shop in NJ I think that has a 6A12 front cut. I'll try to find the link.

For a complete engine it woudl be best to deal with us direct. We would ship direct toyou cheapest option is sea freight takes around 5 weeks but cheap as chips around $400.00 US$. Air freight via UPS etc woudl cost around $750.00 uS$ approx due to its priority status and because it is classes as dangerous goods due to the oil content in the motor.

The 6A12 is an awesome engine, but a worked 4G94 motor will definitly hold its own.

I am approximatig here remember a full engine needs to be shipped on a full size 1 X 1 X 1 pallet minimun and has a dangerous goods classification due to the oil / petrol content even on a new engine.

The thing is though it may only tke up 50% of the room on the palllet, but you aer paying on room the pallet takes, not necessarily what the motor itelf takes on teh pallet. You could put two motors on the pallet, and the freight woudl nearly be identical on costings.

That is cheap on shipping, considering to ship a front cut or what have you within the US, is more than that.

Fits the mirages so may fit our Lancer.

I actually saw one in the engine bay of a mirage once. The 2 door coupe which is supposed to be slightly smaller.

The owner didn't take the time to finish the project though. he sold the engine and bought an EVO.

what you can do is order it have it shipped alongside our parts... within a sea container or crate.

and then pick it up here in ontario california, which is a 3 hrs drive south from vegas...

We hope to have regular shipments on sea container and are gathering the sales for this cause...
