so you guys with wiseco pistons, do you have them installed? What are the gains from it if you're not turbo?

You need the high compression one for the N/A, something like 10:5:1

4G94 compression is 9.5:1. If you want more horespower but keep it N/A just raise the compression to 10:1 or 10.5:1 or 11.5:1 (the last one needs race gas or something to control timing). If you want forged pistons but stock compression and stay N/A, you won't see any gains. Maybe faster RPM since the forged pistons are lighter than stock ones.

Well i plan on going turbo much later, so are there pistons i could get now and have gains from, yet still work with turbo? and damn myself for missing the buschur sale when they were getting rid of their lancer stuff. $200 pistons is a hell of a deal

You can get high compression forged pistons and then use RPW's head gasket to lower the compression. Or you could use 10:1 compression ratio and still turbo it but not stage 2.

Buschur used to sell them, and they decided to only sell evo parts so they had a sale on all their leftover lancer stuff and a few sets of pistons sold for like $200. But you can't get them that cheap now.

I was going to get them at 200 but didn't know exactly when I was going to install them. I think I'll just get a spare engine and built it on the stand.

Couldn't we get a company to custom some up for us? I mean you can get a set of V8 pistons for less than what it cost us to get a set of 4. There has to be someone cheaper, right? We just need to know our specs.

The issue is the cost for whoever the company is that is going to make them. There isn't a market for it. There's always the very few guys that are willing to put down the money but most will just say they will and then when the time comes they back out. Like yellow bellied chumps...

Fox

PS- I got to use the word yellow. I'm so proud of myself. I'm not even sure what it means.

its because our engine is imho, and im sure some of u guys share this, garbage for tuning NA, and turbo isnt much better, cuz its so weak. to be honest a lot of ignorant people buy this car, and want it to be like and evo.

its not, but it is a fun car, with good handling, and the potential to be semi quick.

well once you turbo it, the pistons (and rods) would be used to turn the boost up a bit.
