So yeah, i think ive come to the sad realization with my new car. No one makes anything for the 05 lancers... its like they fell off the face of the planet... everything is 02 - 03 or 02 - 04... what happened to the 05? more so the 06? i mean its feb. were not too far into 06 but 05? i need help.. i have a list of mods i want to complete and im asking for anyones help on knowlege of 04 or 03 parts that will fit the 05. BTW i used to own a pontiac, so im 100% new to mitsu or jap cars in general..

more so, i want nothing more then to ditch my stock gauge face.. everyone says that you can slap on an OZ.. sure.. but once again.. is that ONLY with the damn 04's? or can i slap on 04 OZ gauge face onto my 05 ES? please help...

correct me if im wrong people, but i thought they grouped the lancers by 02-03, 04-05, so i think anything u can do to an 04, you can do to your 05.

im pretty sure any of the 04 parts will def. fit your car. these especially being: Front and Rear strut tower braces

I wont be doing any correcting of any type good sir.. you see that newbie under my name? 100% ive been trolling these forums every day for a straight week.. just trying to get my bearings.. the car was more like "hey want a car? sure.. "here take it its yours"... whats wrong with it? "Rear right window dosnt go down,".... why though? "my parents got it for me as a gift, i didnt want it, "ill give it to you for 30 bucks and a lift back to my house"

so here i am with an 05 ES... but i sure hope anything you can do with an 04 you can do with an 05.. cause that would make my life ALOT easier... more input please on any of those mods if you can... any help at all will be greatly appreciated

 

+1, I stated this I think in a past thread that you mentioned this. the years 04-06 are almost identical except the front bumper changed a bit. most peices fit either 02-03 or 04-06 like joberk said. Plus if you want something, you can allways give the company a call and ask them..... www.roadracemotorsports.com is a good place to find that stuff

Check the existing threads. There has been a megaton of information posted in the 4 1/2 years prior to your posting here. If I see another "what's the best (insert part here)??????" thread I'm going to stab somebody in the throat.

 

when my friend got his 04 es there was nothing for it for like forever. so if nothing from the 04 fits your car then u might just have to be patient.

There were things for it, just not a wide selection. The interior and engine are more or less identical to prior years except for the returnless fuel system and a couple other tiny changes.

 

In general anything that fits an 04 will fit an 05. I would suggest RRM or RDD (do a search and you'll find the guy that sells these for a good price) for the bars and any sri will fit 02-06. Since there really isn't any difference between sri's go for what is cheap and looks good. i happen to like the carbon fiber heatshield for rrm and thats what i've got in mine now. Exhaust systems for 04-06 are virtually non-existent so a custom job is necessary. Just get a nice muffler and go to a shop and have them do custom piping (prob wanna do 2.25 and no larger. keep your stock cat on and maybe throw on a resonator to keep the sound down and to keep your backpressure). I've got RRM's axleback and i'll take it to a shop next week and make it into a full cat-back. good luck!

EXTERIOR WISE:

04=05.

06 - Only Front bumper is different.

....correct me if i am wrong.

 

04-06 should all be very similar in the parts they use.

I know from experience that the RMR front strut tower bar, K&N SRI, and B&M short shifter for the 02-03 will fit the 04s+.

I'm sure many other similar parts will be the same.
