What are the realistic gains with $2000 in N/A mods?

i know that for a thousand or two more, one can go for a turbo or sc, but in the case if someone were to stick stricly with NA modifications, how much of an increase in whp/torque can they possibly go with stock internals

Let's say that for roughly 2000, you go the practical NA route..you can get yourself...
catback 350
intake 180
header 360
piggyback v.2 460
t/b 300
hi-flow cat 100
IM 350
crank pulley 100

realistically, how much whp can one get from the above mods.

and YES, i know that going turbo or sc will give greater improvement. that's a given, so please don't reply "JUST GO TURBO". If in the case someone did happen to go NA for whatever reason, from your guys' experiences, what would be the whp gains.

also, if you all can give your estimates on 1/4 times for each in auto and manual

thanks in advance

i would include a bored ruel rail in all that, and if your getting the whole exhaust you dont really need the test pipe

Staying NA you'll probably top out at about 160-170 HP.

Those numbers I posted are the HP limits for the NA 4g94. The mods you listed will fall short of that number. The numbers would be even lower for an automatic.

To achieve those number (~160-170) you would also need a custom tune, rather than a generic piggyback map to try and squeeze all the horses you can out of it, the phenolic spacers, upgraded camshaft, port and polished head, higher compression pistons (10.5:1), and perhaps an FPR.

You could go with higher compression pistons also to get more power.

You can always get a stage two cam, but then you need something like Greddy's E-manage to go along with it.

You won't hit 160whp with NA mods, unless you'd go with standalone engine management. And you don't need Greddy Emanage to make Stage2 camshaft work, to fine tune it, yes.

I would say maybe 120whp. Realistically intake gives maybe 1-2 hp, header, say 5-6, exhaust, 2-4, cat, 1-2, IM and TB, 10 together, crank pulley, nothing just increases response and piggyback like 15. So thats 24 hp gain, and thats assuming they all add to the same part of the powerband, which they don't. I don't know why people are so obsessed with having the highest horsepower numbers, the shape of the curve is far more important.

the power would be the same for both auto and manual, how it puts it all to the floor would be different mostly due to gear ratios
