Engine Swap

So I was reading up and I found that rwp site, and I was wondering about an engine swap. Would the 6A12 24V mivec fit into my 02 OZ? Or will I have to do hella modification? Or Should I just stick with my lil SOHC 16V ??

A swap wouldn't be worth the money. For time, money ,etc you would be better off turboing your engine. It would cost less, get done faster and have more power.

Well still, how much time/energy do you think you really are willing to give towards the project? If you want to do then just do it...it's your car=your decision...

well hey, if you have the money and can do all the labor yourself, might as well. I'm sure you'll have plenty of dedication to it seeing as its your car. Over all, a turbo will be quicker to install and cheaper. Buuuuut, the new 6A12 24V Mivec would be better overall because it could handle much more power than the stock lancer engine.

Why not swap in a turbo'd engine? I've been looking at the 4g93t swap. Upgrade a few things here and there and you should be better than just boosting the 4g94.

you make it sound like that engine isn't the rarest thing on earth. and miss out on .2L of displacement? what's the point in that?

Good point. Swaps are not for the faint at heart. These things can be swapped but they ain't Hondas!
