Another Mod! intake Manifold

i finally got my intake manifold and installed it last night. the install was a lot easier than i thought. took about 1.5 hours, taking my time. a couple awkward bolts, but it was relatively painless. i didn't havethe chance to really open it up last night, but i could already feel the difference. when i blip the throttle the rpms just shoot right. when you start to take it to higher speeds you can tell the car isn't starving for air anymore, it keeps pulling nice and strong. So far i've noticed more hp/tq in the topend and way better throttle response.

i'm gonna put a few miles on the car today and hopefully the car will learn a little more and reach full potential.

current mod list: intake/header/exhaust/pulley/piggyback/intake manifold

Cool man. I put mine on and the difference is very noticable... although I feel as if it robbed even more from the lowend. In 3rd and in 4th it pulls much better and when crusing in 5th I don't have to downshift as often to gain speed.

And I'm sure you notice more since you have a PB. If you haven't already it might be a good idea to reset your PB and let it realearn around your new Intake mani.

Hopefully this summer I can save up enought to get some sort of fuel managment system to take advantage of all of my mods.

Was it the RRM Manifold? Really looking into getting one of these. Glad to hear it makes a noticeable difference.

I'm thinking about the intake manifold myself. Would it still be a good choice on a 100% stock Lancer?

On a mostly stock one that would help but best with intake and a bored t.b. Good thing is you can request one unpainted and that would be a mod that dealers would never notice thus no warranty issues.

TOPEND!!!

thats where its at. you really feel this mod at the higher speeds like 60mph+ the car pulls way better instead of tapering off. its been a few days with it on, and i gotta say this mod was worth it. my lowend tq seems the same but throttle response and mid/topend are waaaaayyy better.

I got mine non-powdercoated so it looks stock on the outside, but not on the inside

HE has an auto. I must say I drove it and that thing does pretty well. IM is a good mod especially if you have intake already. T.b. is the next mod for him I'm guessing.
