Should not sound different but throttle response should be noticably better.

Glad to hear nothing but good news on this mod. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks now, debating whether it would be worth it. Now it seems like a mod I have to do....lol. PAY DAY IS TOMORROW! I need to decide whether I want the intake manifold or PB ECU. Can't do both right now due to my credit card bill (damn plastic!) and Girlfriend B-Day. Definitely placing an order with RRM once again shortly....

Does the throttle body you buy with it really matter much?

it should, i mean, it would be just a bottle neck on both sides if you dont get the throttle body. you'd have a big intake tube, then a smaller throttle body, then an open intake manifold. Whats the point of opening the inside if the entrance isnt open as well.

You can buy a 4G93 Intake manifold for a mirage, which is already much bigger than our stock 4G94 IM, on the mirage boards for about 75 bucks shipped. Also, I belive that some of hte mirage guys with the 1.8L are using other throttle bodies (possibly from DSM's) on their cars, also which can be found for cheap. Just replacing our intake manifold alone with a stock mirage would be as good as porting a 4G94.
