You don't break in exhausts. What are you looking for? If you wanted a really loud note, you could always get a fart can, or weld a coffee can in place of the muffler. I've heard GReddy Evo's and they have plenty of sound to them.

that's weird...... I have the greddy evo II on my car and it has a good tone to it not to loud though if you were looking for it to be extremely loud I would have to say you went with the wrong exhaust..... do you have any other mods like intake or header I would imagine that would help out a little

I had a greddy evo 2 on my eclipse and that thing was loud as hell. Got two "loud exhaust" tickets within a month.

Forgot to add, I also had headers, downpipe, and gutted cat.

My girlfriend lives right down the street from me and she would always know when I was driving by.

well the intake will def give your car more of a growl at full throttle not really sure if the header will help I imagine it would though

Headers will make the exhaust louder, intake will just make the engine louder. I have the greddy exhaust and with headers and stock cat its definitely louder than stock, but not overpowering by any means.

I had the same issue as well. I got mine installed on saturday and when i revved it, I couldn't even hear it. lol. My intake is louder than my exhaust. But then again, I don't have headers or an aftermarket CAT. I guess when all the restrictions are removed, it'll be louder.
True on dat, it does sound like a G35. Damn that sound is SEXY!

Did you already have an exhaust on your car? Maybe this one is just better because it resignates properly.

or

I believe the greddy muffler is ceramic (glass) packed and it will get louder the hotter it gets.

Regardless what does it matter if its louder or not, its the performance that matters, at least you wont be getting tickets for it.
