Radiator problems

I was in an accident and currently rebuilding the front end. I've put a new radiator in and there's no leaks. After driving for ten minutes I get that coolant smell. I can't find any leaks anywhere, it's mostly comming from the header area and right side of the engine where the radiator hose connects. Is there anyone here that can help or give advice?

I sometimes smell coolant also, but I know I don't have any leaks. Maybe it is just some residual coolant leftover from your repairs. I would just check to make sure your hoses are on all the way. Maybe its venting from the overflow?

if you have no leaks, no CEL, and no other mechanical/electrical problems; more likely than not it's just residue on parts and other coolant that leaked during the process burning off. if you have taken care of the 3 things mentioned, you shouldn't have much to worry about.

the brackets don't line up exactly. joe and i talked about this 2-3 weeks ago. we held up an EVO radiator next to a Lancer radiator when they were off of the vehicle and it's off by a little bit. it LOOKED like it would fit with very little modifications...im not sure how the fans would mount up though.
