You can't really boost more but you can flow more air and thus air being forced in to the engine is less likely to bottleneck before the combustion chamber!

any clue what kind of gains?
I'm almost done saving for a turbo, but my car is starting to get into high mileage territory (75k) and im wondering if replacing the head first would be the smarter thing to do as far as longevity goes. Any thought on this?

nothing but improved overall power throughout the curve. ive riden in a lancer that had na bolt ons and a head job, performance was greatly changed with the right tuning and the head job.. i want this.. looks so good rob... keep it up
Gains on a mod like this really fluctuate. It depends on your mods big time.
For a fully stock car just doing the head i'd say a good 5-10whp.
On a fully moded NA car i've personally seen the head alone net 10whp and once a cam was added it was almost 20whp.
On a turbo application i'd say 15whp at a minimum. Once Intake manifold, cams, exhaust, the whole nine yards... i've seen 280whp+ for those cars.
It's all about your mods and tuning. This is definately one of the best mods to do. Reason being is that it compliments mods like CAI, IM, Header, Exhaust, HFC, Turbo, SC, etc.
If you want the most you can get you port the head. This has been true for decades. Of course it has to be done equally and professionally. A bad port job could cause a lot of issues. Good thing RRM is professional
