areet, well i took out my intake and think i found the screw.........problem. to get to the screw i have to disconnect the MAF sensor box thing. from the filter box....but the plastic has snapped on the filter box, that holds the screws in place, so when i turn the screw, it just spins around and doesnt move. and ive tried holding on end while turning the other, but its tightened too tight. Me and my friend worked on it ALL last night, and could not unscrew it. Am i going for the correct screw? is it somewhere else. if u could upload a pic that would help.

Also when i was putting the intake back together, i didnt put that stupid funnel thing that goes from the front of the car above the radiator, back to the intake. Does that make a whole lot of difference. So far all ive noticed is its a bit louder, doesnt seem to effect my performance.

if the plastic tab broke, you'll need to hold the screw(inside the box) with a pair of vise-grip. And the funnel provides cooler air, so you should keep it.

also how much of a difference does loosening the screw make? cos with me having to hold the screws will turning to take it apart, im running a HIGH risk of slipping and putting a set of vice grips through the honeycomb. lol

do you think its worth the effort?

worth the effort? 5 people will give you 5 different answers... it's all a matter of what you really want. If you use vise-grip to hold the bolt inside the box, you should not slip and damage the honeycomb. Do it carefully and it will go smoothly

OK so i just went outside and took my intake apart. I have done it so many times it only took me about 20 seconds and i had the Honeycomb sitting in my hand. I flip it over and saw that rubber glue stuff. I pulled it out and came across the big flat head screw. I unscrewed it until i couldn't see it anymore when looking straight into the Honeycomb. Put my intake back together and went for a test drive. After the test drive i came to the conclusion i couldn't feel any difference. Was i suppose to relearn the ecu or is that bolt just really doesn't have an effect on airflow?

This is not a 5hp mod. It allows you to lean the air/fuel mixture a little.
