Ok this is the bolt underneth the MAF Box.

This is what the bolt looks like before you unscrew it.

Once you unscrew the bolt it should look like this.

ok groovy. and this will stop the car from running so rich, and therefore....save gas? right

what does this do for performance? decrease or increase?

No, it won't stop the car from running rich. But it'll help a tiny bit. You will have NO change in performance at all.

It's just an "every little bit" mod.

ok, sounds good,. like i said, when i get my new intake i will give it a shot. Right now its not worth the hassel of de-zip tying my half an intake, then vice gripping the bolts to get the MAF free. lol

thanks though, you should put that in the how-to section.

Vise-gripping the bolts? Get the proper tools...

Why make it a how-to? RRE explained it just fine in the link I posted.

well when i tried to unscrew the bolts. the plastic on the inside of the intake box, holding the bolts in place, snapped. So now when i turn the bolts they just spin around and dont go anywhere. So i have to hold one side while i turn the other.

yeh i know the link is fine. but i know i searched the site forever for a how to and couldnt find one. Im just saying for other people. or pin that link somewhere for everyone to use. incase they dont view this topic. lol

You put a wrench on the nut, and an Allen key in the bolt. It's not a Vise-Grips job...

If they don't view this topic, they didn't search. So f_ck 'em.

It's too late now if you cracked the plastic. I'm just telling you the right way to do it...

well only the plastic on the inside of the big intake box is broken. there is nothing wrong with the MAF itself. So when i get a new intake i will either figure out a way to inscrew it, or just smash apart the box and force it off, lol
