go with magnaflow. with greddy you are paying more.... well...... because its greddy. Greddy is probably a better exhaust tho. for a nice exhaust for a lil less go with magnaflow. (I have magnaflow cat-back and I love it).

I have Greddy and I love it to death. Better quality, better product, no noticable difference in power. Although Magnaflow does makes a good muffler. You are really just paying for the name, kind of like Nike, but who wants to play basketball in Phat farm shoes? (Nice metaphor huh?)

yeah. pretty good. on the Greddy you also get the sexy burnt tip look dont you? I almost bought that just to get the purple to blue burn look... thats pure sex. but magnaflow is much cheaper.

oooh, possibly... I made a good choice then...

no burnt tip = not worth it

If you just want a nicer looking one.....sure, get an ebay one. or get a magnaflow muffler and you could allways get pipe bent later on and it still be cheaper then buying a cat-back.

The Greddy doesn't have a burnt tip, but it still looks really nice. If you have the money, go Greddy. Even with headers it still sounds really nice, mine doesn't have a resonator and I can still drive on the highway for extended periods of time. The Magnaflow sounds kind of raspy at higher rpms with headers, at least from the clips I've heard.

I like magnaflow but not the cat-backs they make for the lancers because of the small muffler tip that sticks out real far. But thats just me. Yeah if you go magnaflow and get headers later it will most likley be ricey. Greddy is a nice deep tone. I have the RRM header, cat delete pipe, and a resonator and its still nice and deep. I am putting the cat back on because its too loud without it (and illegal). It really just depends on what looks good to you and how much money you are willing to spend.

I will be serious and tell you that YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
Ive seen some ebay mufflers around and they sound like an angry bumble bee. The sound deadening material used is far below acceptable causing the high pitched sound. Spend the extra money and get a good quality muffler.
HKS has a nice low sound ( look at their website for sound clips)
Magnaflow is a much quieter muffler but it has more back pressure so you wont lose as much of your low end.
Greddy tends to have this high pitched puttering sound that is somewhat drowned out by the tone of the exhaust. Nice low growl nevertheless.
Apexi N1 has the highest note ive ever heard in a name brand muffler. Just not my cup of tea.
My favorite is the JIC Magic Bullet. If might be a bit hard to find, being that it is a JDM brand, but it has a very unique exhaust tone, VERY much UNLIKE HKS, Apexi, Greddy and the others.

If you dont get your piping done, you can expect a higher note. So dont be dissapointed when you expect to hear a low growl but instead hear a sound sort of like a ferocious bumble bee with roid rage is attempting to make its way out of your exhaust. Well good luck!
