i was just saying that some people may feel that a $4K turbo kit or a huge spoiler would be considered unecessary

i feel if your looking to make a more respectable hp # in a n/a lancer i think you'll have to step up to the stage 2 grind and add the necessary mods to make it run well. so far i have been a little dissapointed in power gains on the lancer thus far and think that the stage 2 cam may provide some really good numbers while the stage 1 will fall short, but i guess i'll just have to install one or wairt U9V puts his in

you only need a stage 2 if your going turbo

well, RPW has a stage 1, stage 2, and stage 3 grinds for N/A motors and then a cam with profiles for a TURBO motor so i'm not seeing how a stage 2 might only be necessary for a turbo application

also if you bolted on a CAI, SAFC w/fuel pressure regulator to bump up the air/fuel being fed to the motor, wouldn't that be enough to satisfy a stage 2 cam? if not how much do you think you would really need? ported throttle body perhaps?

I've always been very impressed with RPW's site. They are very specific about exactly what comes with every package they sell, exactly what uses it's intended for, and exactly what other upgrades should be done alongside each of theirs. If you read their site, this won't be a question.

Here are the specs on my stage 1 cam:

Inlet
Lift .371
duration 258
Exhaust
.36
duration 248

This is all at the recommended timing of .004 Camlift. I think you guys would be impressed with the stage one.... it's actually a very close grind to the Migare stage 2.

U9V Only you can stop the madness and get this thing done. No more speculation.

i was directing that question to zlancer because he feels we would need a lot of air/fuel being fed to the motor for a stage 2 cam. i think all of the things that i listed above (which RPW recommends) would be more than enough to handle the stage 2 cam. i was just looking for zlancers suggestions, sorry for the confusion

Out of curiosity, do you plan to do the work yourself, or have a shop do it for you.

You'll have to send your stuff to RPW to have it ported and polished. You better have 2 cars for that so you won't be out of wheels.

Well that set up sounds badass, let us know how it turns out.
One thing though, why not go with a cold air intake?

also, you might want to look into the RPW throttle body as it is a few mm larger than the RRM one.
