need help with lancer please

hey everyone, i got a 04 lancer es with 57K and im haveing acouple issues. I went to change the tranny oil at the place i get my oil changes done but i told them to put in what the factory uses and for some reasion they dont have it. i called around and turns out that its a special mitsubishi oil meaning i need to get my tranny oil changed at a mitsubishi dealer. Anyway i was wondering does are tranny really need that special mitsubishi transaxel oil? or is it a scam so we get the tranny oil change done at mitsubishi? is there another oil for the tranny thats the same or even better? or do i need the oil from mitsubishi?

im going to change the sparkplugs this weekend, should i change the wires to?

for the first time im haveing a problem with my lancer (i think) except i dont have a clue what it is or what it could even be. Anyway its happend around 2-3 time in the past month and everytime i noticed it happen the AC was on and i have been on the road for over an hour or so. i'll come to a full stop at the lights and about 60sec later it feel like the car jumps, as if the rpms fluxuate while im at a full stop at the lights. everytime it happens i think the cars gunna die but it doesnt. i dont know if the rpms move when it happens, i never had a chance to check it because it happens so fast. sry i cant describe it better or give you more info but that the best i can describe. does anyone know what that is? could it be because i never changed the plugs/wires yet?

any help would be great, thanks alot.

Jason

1. Auto or manual?
2. You don't need to change the wires.
3. I think it's normal, but can't remember.

It is recommended that you run Mitsubishi Diamond ATF for your tranny if AUTO. If you're manual, you can get away with other stuff... Everyone else has. Just go to the dealer and buy the fluids.. then have your oil place do it for you. They'll probably give you a discount too, since you bring our own oil. Or do it yourself.

You don't need to change your wires. But if you want to, you can, they aren't expensive at all unless you go upgrade/aftermarket.

The A/C thing is normal. That's just your car adjusting to the strain of the A/C Belt.

So that jump feeling i felt those couple of times is the AC and its normal? also when the AC is on is it normal for the fans to turn on for about 20 seconds then shut off for acouple seconds then go back on, over and over the whole time the AC is on? sry for all the questions i just want to make sure everything is normal, oh and thanks for the info on the tranny oil.

Fans go on when you idle or under 15-20 mph how often depends on how hot your car is, after that when driving it pulls in enough air not to turn the fans on

EDIT: Also like they said, the flux in RPMs is your car adjusting to the clutch on the A/C compresser.

When the RPMs fluxuate, try to listen outside your car for a click, thats the noise the A/C compresser makes when it engages/disengages. If it fluxuates when you hear that noise, its from that, no worries.

Also when we do Tranny Flushes at my shop, we use factory trans oil for most cars, sometimes we use normal dexron/mercon it all depends on what it calls for. I know all Mopar products call for MOPAR ATF +3, and thats all it can take, so its possible the Auto Lancer is only Diamond ATF

Also, alot of auto trans need seperate additives(I know Fords and GMs ask for it) but again, the manual should tell you
