No, I am talking about if it was two CAI's. I know the piping on the passenger side would be a b!tch.

I doubt that would make any substantial power compared to how much it costs. The only way I could see that making good power is if the intake mani/TB/intake setup was very restrictive. An NA motor can only suck in so much air.

you'd have to remove or relocate your washer fluid basin.

if you've got the $$$ to toss around on that kind of setup you should just save your pennies and get a quad set-up WITH A MANIFOLD. if you run the straight-joiner type of manifold you're not going to have a very streetable car...not to mention the other mods required to run such a set-up.

If I had that kind of money, I go with a turbo instead of that.

this is the point of the system t give the car gobs of air. it makes sense. na engine may nt be pressurized as much as turbo engines but more air is mre power with the right tuning.. this can see gains of 3O% with tuning and supporting mods. which means an easy 15o hp na on a lancer with a sick trque curve.

Maybe i'm overthinking the system, but couldnt you fab up pipe as follows...

Large Filter-->MAF-->3" pipe-->Y split into 2x2.5" pipes-->one to each throttle body? I mean technically the same amount of air would be drawn in as 2 separate pipes, and you could still use the MAF then. Kinda like those stupid twin intake filter setups, but reversed. 1 filter, then split to 2 intake paths.

Either way this is a lot of work for what would seem to be not huge gains. Seems like everyone who goes for power on NA does it for the sake of being the person who made a lot of power NA. When i was a member of the DSM boards people were goin for crazy setups on the 4g63NA motors yielding some power gains, but the cost per power was so extravagant. I can understand people saying "yeah well i dont wanna go turbo because turbo has a lot of hidden problems", but weighing out the amount of fabrication, tuning, and time you have to put into NA to get 30whp you can get that out of a 5psi intercooled setup and have a car that drives just like stock with minimal fuel management upgrades, virtually no added fuel map tuning, and less chance of things breaking.

Long story short, i applaud the inginuity and creativity of people going for crazy NA upgrades, but i'd rather see my money go to power

This is the first stateside Lancer I've seen with this setup. What are your overall goals for your Lancer?
