U.S. Lancer throttle body

RRM has prototype throttle body for the Lancer. We are looking for a local guy willing to try it. No time to dyno but the program we are trying to start is trade in plan with core.
New throttle body is 4mm larger with matched butterfly, the usual hipo deal. Cost would be $250 and a core. Give me some feedback. This is next performance related mod to do...

By the way EtronicOZ came in for our intake. No hard data but we data logged the car before intake and after. He already had K&N panel filter.

Etronic drove both runs. 0-60 times dropped more than half a second! According to him the pulls were done identical way. He was nice to his car, still breaking it in.

We also monitored MAF sensor before and after It showed significant increase in air flow. Don't wanna blow smoke. Ask him about it.

Ask us about the throttle body. Probably do the same datalogging with it!

Give me little feedback.

Finally someone is taking us seriously. How important is throttle body? Would be best thing with air filter? Seems like every honda guy does T.B. as one of the first performance mods. I am all over it next pay check.:headbng2:

SO every honda guy does it so now every lancer guy wants it eh?

An advanced throttle is very important and works extremely well with an intake system (full setup), exhaust (catback), and headers. When you do the mods it is most recommended to get a software/cpu chip download if it is available for the Lancers (or when it comes out). I would estimate about gains of about +25-35 hp depending on the parts, installation, and the quality of the work. Remember, you truly get what you had paid for!

cheers~

Eek...okay, fundamentals here. The throttle body is what you attached your intake to. Pretty much the widening of the TB expands the valve by shaving a bit of material off the sides and attaching a larger flap to close the opening. This whole process allows more air to enter the engine, thus, providing more power.

information

does the aftermarket throttle body with the increased diameter lead to a loss of gas mileage at all?

as you increase power fuel mileage will drop..so technically you'll lose some...prolly not noticeable though
