Question Bumper to Bumper inspection

I have a growing interest in both rally & street cars but I know very little about cars. I recently bought a used 02 OZ Rally Lancer with the intention of modifying both the engine and suspension. Before I do that I know if there's any real damage, other than usual wear & tear, to the engine, tranny, & suspension. Like a 100+ point inspection. Can anyone recommend such a place?

You could always take it to a local mechanic for starters, better yet to one that you have used before... having a friend who works on cars is never a bad thing, but if you dont have any of the above, as around at your local performance store they might know of a good local mechanic. Have fun with your car, the best way to learn about it is browsing the forums and asking questions.
