Install An Intake [DIY]

I almost crapped myself trying to do this one. It didnt come with any instruction and i ordered it off of ebay. If you havent bought an intake already i suggest not going cheap with an OBX or GENERIC one like I did.

Start off by removing your factory airbox by just pushing the little black pins down to lossen them up. Pull those 2 off and then remove the front of the airbox. Take off that black tube that goes to the engine (the PVC hose) then Get a socket or something that will reach down and unscrew the big screw (I was short on tools so i just ripped it off). Just keep removing screws and clamps until it is all off. Now be sure to get the Airflow sensor by getting a wrench and a socket to take those off. This pissed me off so much i just took a hammer to it, but thats just me. After i got that off and pretty much ruined it I put it up to the squarish thing that the intake came with. So now you have no air filter or airbox or anything right? And you have a cone filter and some clamps and the tubing. Attach the Airflow sensor to the tubing and the cone and the other end to the squarish thing then to the tubing and then to the manifold. Make sure everything is tightly clamped and dont think anything will hold without a clamp. When i did mine it fell off on the freeway and my check engine light stayed on until i did something to it that i cant remember.

Just make sure everything is way tight and everything is clamped together. Also make sure that there are no holes or openings anywhere on the intake and that the PVC hose is connected tightly and the Airflow sensor is all hooked up. Goodluck on the freeway

This is something that anyone who can't figure out will probably need pictures for. Again, please read the sticky in the installation forum.
