nitrous Question
nitrous Question
i was readin about those nitrous ntercooler sprayer things and was thinking can u hook up something like that just to ur say cold air intake pipe(but not the whole intake hoop bc i know that wouldnt fit)? bc they say it cools down the intake temps a whole lot(with turbo cars on intercoolers). but could it give the same effect if it were just on ur intake and cooled down ur intake kinda in the same method like it does to the intercooler?any ideas, its just a thought
check out DEI'S website. They have intake cooling systems(they use co2)they also have fuel coolers, header wraps........and other great stuff .Plus co2 runs about $1 per pound, way cheaper than nitrous
It's definitely a thought, but is it going to produce gains like a nitrous or CO2 kit...no. It will drop temps, but it's not really cost effective. Your best bet is too "wrap" the intake to shield from the engine heat and have a more constant drop in air temps.
cool , but y dont u think it would be cost effective, bc if u think about it if it can work like those intercooler sprayer things i bet it might help alot on ur intake to cool the charge

i undersatnd it not being so hot but a colder intake would mean colder intake temps right , not really sure though if the intake was colder if it would bost that much more power but just an idea i had
Not very effective cause the air will just heat back up when going through the manifold, right? You might make 1 or maybe 2 hp until the co2 runs out. Not cost effective either.
There is no think; it will. As you drive your car your engine becomes hot and so do the extremities attached to it.; transfer of heat to extremities (in this case IM).
If your intake manifold is warm or hot the air passing through will become hot as well.
Go drive your car for about 10-15 min. then try to touch the middle of your intake manifold.
CAUTION: It will be hot and you may get burned.
