I got a magnaflow exhaust but waited on the catback piping. It helped a lot actually. Well the day has come and I want to do the catback piping. What is recommended... 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 inch piping? Without loosing torque of course. Also... how much extra HP can I expect from just the piping upgraded. Already have intake and muffler. I heard the precat piping is still 2 inch. That sucks.

It may suck as far as peak HP, but by replacing your exhaust with wider piping your torque at lower RPMs is going to suffer. I guess it just depends upon how much torque you're willing to sacrifice for more flow.

go with 2 1/4

you don't have the power for 2 1/2 piping...you'll lose the bottom end by going that way

hmmm.....

Ok.... so I'm going with 2 1/4 today. Am I loosing power by doing this or gaining it. A little unclear here.

If you are going for 2 1/4 make sure it is all mandral bent, or else just stick with your stock pipe.

You're losing a bit of torque by widening the pipe but you're gaining a bit of horsepower. SO...you both gain and lose.
