The gains are pretty much the same as short ram intake but it all starts from about 3.4k rpm. The car seems to have more torque. I thought it was interesting that when my car pulls it sounds a little bit different. When you reach 4k rpm it sounds as if you would have a cold air intake instead of short ram but a little bit more raspy. Call me crazy but that's what it sounds like.

Considering the fact that this pulley is supposed to give better gains than the one RRM sells, I have to say that RRM is not worth $100.00 I'm saying this because I have seen someone post "best bang for a buck" I wouldn't pay $100.00 + belts + install for maybe 4hp on butt dyno. That's me...everyone is different.

And now the story behind the pulley I got, what story? Well, I got my pulley for FREE. Yes, free...from A2 Designs.

When I ordered shifter bushings from A2 I noticed that they are both the same size. Obviously that wouldn't work on a lancer since one bushing is big and the other one small. Philip Prench apologized for the inconvenienc and asked if a free FPR would make me happy. Hell Yeah but, I already have an aftermarket FPR so I asked for a pulley without belts (didn't want to ask for too much). As agreed, Philip sent me a free pulley for all the trouble. How many customers expect to receive a free merchandise when they are not satisfied with the product they previously purchased...I'd say about 10%. Not many companies are willing to do that. It just shows that A2 Designs already knows what their customers are looking for, good prices, and great customer service.

Thx Philip.

I'm starting to really like this little red thing. First and second gear are very strong. It seems like I'm finishing the first gear much sooner and the car actually pulls.

Sux to hear about it. I wasn't quite excited about their shipping but Philip Prench said it was because of DHL and they finally used someone else.

There are no HP gains with pullys. Just a note.

Plus the best bang for the buck was with respect to that mod in general. Nothing is that cheap that you can reasonably feel working.

Either way, it's nice to see A2 doing something about the lancer scene... Go kick some ***.

Yeah remember the UDP does not give you HP; rather, it "frees" up HP by lessening the power goign to the accessories, allowing for more power to the wheels.

I am always skeptical of butt dyno gains, because people expect a product to perform so they "think" they perceive more gains. I dont know how 2 - 5 whp is noticeable. That is like 0.15 in a quarter mile .
