Exhaust Question

Last week i went to get my windows tinted and i noticed that on the inside of my exhaust pipe there were a bunch of tiny thread looking things. they almost looked like some of the fibers that come off fiberglass insulation.

can anyone tell me what could have caused this? I didnt notice any change in the engine or anything. (except it wont start because of a bad crank position sensor, lol)

It is fiberglass. They use it for sound deadining in aftermarket exhausts. Back in the day, we used to call them glass packs.

Or it could be spider webs. You need to get on it and blow them suckers out of there!

well taste it first just to be sure, the fumes from the exhaust might have changed the taste so eat a lot of it. If not, then it is probably fiberglass lol.
