Intake mani. install and review
The Install:
Well, I bought the bored IM from RRM acouple of weeks ago and recently had it installed. My trials and tribulations include 2 trips to the shop. The first trip was the initial install, I got the car back that evening and my CEL was on and it wasn't idling correctly. Well the nervourness set-in as I made acouple of phone calls out to Cali. They then told me to take it back to shop the next day. So I did. I told them that I had a vaccum leak somewhere and they said they would hook it up and find the code. Well it turned out to be an EGR Valve code. The shop took it back off and the installer decided to put some silicone around the gasket, at the point of where it bolts up to the engine. I have it back in full working order now and made it through the weekend with no problems. To make this long and dull story short, simple fix with silicone that should have been applied at the start made for some aggrevating moments over the past week.
The Review:
I am throughly enjoying this new found freedom in the higher-end portion of my driving. I now can say I enjoying accelerating at a high rate. I found that this install has increased the point at which my shift occurs in 3rd gear and then into overdrive.
Overall:
It was agreat choice and I would advise anybody that wants increased power later throughout the powerband, invest in this.
