Headers/Downpipe Issue
Headers/Downpipe Issue
When I purchased my car it already had a Kamikaze header and downpipe. The downpipe and kamikaze header together have 3 bolts.
I purchased a RRM header to replace the Kamikaze header because it looks like crap due to wear and tear. Now I noticed that the RRM header only has 2 holes for the bolts and the downpipe has 3. So already I know its not gunna fit properly where can I get a downpipe to match the RRM header, a 2 bolt downpipe.

Yes, he would need the stock downpipe. If you are planning on going turbo, try to pick one up at a junk yard, ebay, car-parts.com, rockauto, or the dealership. If you are going to stay NA you might want to look into having something fabbed up at the local tuner shop, or do it yourself if you have the tools. You can get mandrel bent tubing from Summit and try to find flanges at a muffler shop. If you go that way 2.25" tubing seems to work the best for our car on NA.

If you want to use the downpipe that came with your Kamikaze header, just get a muffler shop to weld a new flange on the downpipe. That'd be cheaper than getting a whole new one made.
Or even better... source a steal plate thick enough, trace the header flange on it, cut/drill what needs to be cut and drilled, find a buddy who has a welder. Cut the flange off the downpipe, weld the new one on. That'd be even cheaper.
