Finally Put the OBX header and downpipe on!

Decided to get off my butt and put the header and downpipe on the car. The bolt that everyone says is hard to get to ended up being the easy part of the install. It was hard to get to but not as bad as i was thinking it would be. Had to take out the electric fans to get the header in. I like how it looks but now I'm wanting a quieter axle back exhaust. May look into the RRM magnaflow axle back if it is fairly quiet. With the header downpipe, RRM test pipe and the straight threw 3Aracing muffler it sounds like crap.

Burned my finger when i was putting the terminal back on the batt that the amp is going to be connected to. Stupid allen wrenches. lol put the pic as a link to the image due to some people possibly not wanting to see it.

Very good! Gotta say, I like the way those welds look! If I even cared about the Lancer's performance any more, I'd pick one up...

did you throw a check engine light? or did you get the CEL eliminator from RRM?

Look on the test pipe I used the spark plug anti fouler method to get rid of the CEL i was getting with the test pipe, or what ever was causing it. Talked with RRM after doing the DIY cel eliminator and they said that serves the same purpose but with the RRM piece you dont have to make it yourself and it looks much cleaner than the anti fouler method.

Just put this in over the weekend...had to take the fans out for clearance, and disconnect the upper coolant hose, and cut some bolts off where the cat is (rusted solid)....the obx looks nice, I'll be putting the catback in this coming weekend...ordered the CEL eliminator from RRM...
